Sir Knight Matthew A. Doss is a member of Fort Wayne Commandery No. 4 and currently serves as Grand Marshal of the Grand Commandery Knights Templar of Indiana. Throughout his Masonic journey, he has been privileged to serve in numerous leadership positions, including Eminent Commander, Illustrious Master, and High Priest. He is a recipient of the Knight York Cross of Honour and considers the opportunity to serve his companions and fellow Sir Knights among the greatest honors of his Masonic life.
A disabled United States Army veteran, Sir Knight Doss has devoted his life to Leadership Through Faithful Service. Following his military service, he pursued a legal career centered on serving others. He currently serves as General Counsel for TLC Management, one of Indiana's largest providers of long-term care services, after previously serving as an Administrative Law Judge. He also serves as President of the Markle Town Council, where he is committed to strengthening his community through responsible leadership and stewardship.
Sir Knight Doss and his wife, Emily, reside in Markle, Indiana. Outside of his professional and Masonic responsibilities, he enjoys rugby, hunting, traveling, and mentoring future leaders. He believes that the lessons of Knighthood are best demonstrated through faith in Christ, integrity, humility, charity, and service to others. Whether in his church, community, profession, or the Commandery, he strives to exemplify the principle that has guided his life: Leadership Through Faithful Service. His greatest hope is that the legacy he leaves will not be measured by the offices he held, but by the lives he influenced and the example of Christian leadership he set for others.
